Reading Vivian Miayer

describe it: There is an elderly couple on a bus. The lady it asleep on the mans shoulder and they both look very old and peaceful. The man is wearing a hat which covers his eyes so you can not tell if he is awake or asleep but you can tell they trust each other. There is also a man in the background staring at them looking almost judgmental maybe because they are on a bus but they a
re wearing nice clothes so they must be somewhat wealthy.

Interpret it: I think that it is showing how much these two have been through together that they are on a bus and probably are not very wealthy but they still love each other. You can tell that they trust and are comfortable with each other because they have fallen asleep on each other and look very peaceful

Analyze:
I think that Vivian purposely took the photo from an angle where you could not see the mans eyes so that we would wonder if he was sleepy peacefully besides his wife or still awake daydreaming or stressed about keeping him wife safe.

Interpret it:
I think that this picture shows that sometimes you never know if people are doing good or bad, there are so many confusing things. Like why is the mans face covered and why are they wearing nice clothes on a public bus. Are they rich and peaceful or poor and stressed. I think Vivian meant to make us think.

Evaluate it: I think this is a beautiful photo. It uses the rule of thirds and even has the bars and beams as leading lines. I like how she took the angle and covered the mans eyes and how she was able to capture such and interesting couple without them noticing.
